Building the Bridge

Dodging through traffic as early as 8 o' clock in the morning may not be listed as a fun activity, but here at South Carolina State University students living in Campus Corner and University Village view it as normal daily task.




Students and community members will be one step closer to relief as a Department of Transportation worker says, the span of the pedestrian bridge will be laid down Friday night . Although, this task seems to be a major part of the building process traffic will remain flowing on Chestnut Street.

As a Brother of South Carolina State University's Kappa Upsilon chapter of Alpha Kappa Psi Professional Business Fraternity Incorporated, I was able to direct, produce, and edit a Rush video inviting new prospects to join our chapter. The theme of the production, "Living Professional" was inspired by the 90's sitcom "Living Single", filled with African American men and women who are working to be successful in their career fields. We saw similarities between the characters and our university's chapter. As a result, we wanted to inform students that we strive to be successful in the business world by, "Living Professional". Summerville's Famers' Market

Living Healthy in Summerville Vendors share their goods with the Summerville, South Carolina community on Saturday, November 19th on 200 South Main Street. Summerville Farmer's Market allows those that seek fresh produce and other products to fulfill their needs in the heart of downtown Summerville. Summerville resident Kia Plumer says, "At Summerville's farmer's market it's a pretty ecliptic collection of vendors really centered around fresh fruits and vegetables, but it doesn’t mean that the majority of the vendors. There are lots of little stands and crafts and homemade items that you can buy." George's Pumpkin Bread offers samples to those attending Summerville's Famer's Market and uses the profits made from his stand to donate to Cancer Research. Spotify's 2017 "The Opening Act" Conference

Over 900 HBCU, History Black College or University, students applied to attend Spotify's 2017 "The Opening Act" Conference in an essay or video formatted submissions. While only 85 out of those 900 were chosen, I was the only student from South Carolina State University to attend this life-changing event. In this video Spotify employees go into further detail about the event and what role it plays in the lives of students and for the brand of the company.  (I am shown at 2:17)
